Welcome to the homepage devoted to the Longest burning Light Bulb in history. Now in its 109th year of illumination. For those of you coming here for the first time, feel free to explore the pages of our amazing little bulb, with pictures, stories, facts, and history. If you are returning, our newest additions are the stories of our latest visitors, Claudia Cowan of FoxNews, Joan Ubeda from Spain, and Karin Steinberger from Germany.

Professor Deborah Katz of Annapolis Physics Dept. is still taking interest in our Shelby Bulb, and with her students, is conducting tests on another Shelby Bulb of the same vintage, we provided her. Please follow the test link to see her results, and a few pictures.

For those of you who watch the Discovery channel you might have caught the episode 69 of MythBusters. No, they were not questioning the Bulb, but were showing it in reference to the longevity of other bulbs. To see a clip of it go to our articles page and follow the Mythbusters button.
