Bob Redell Visit

On April 25, 2011 the Lightbulb was visited by Bob, of NBC Bay Area News. It was a fun visit with lots of footage shot, with interviews of Firemen and Bulb comittee members. But the star of course was the Bulb!

Carol & Doug Visit

On March 2, 2011 the Lightbulb was visited by Carol Graham, of the Livermore Independent. We had a nice chat with her about the Bulb. A few days later Photographer Doug Jorgensen came by. Go to their visit page to see the article.

Carolyn Jones Visit

On February 3, 2011 the Lightbulb was visited by Carolyn Jones, of the SF Chronicle. We each took turns providing her with relevant info about the bulb, and had some nice photos taken by Photographer Michael Macor. The article came out in the Sunday edition, Feb. 6, 2011.

Mike Dunstan's Visit

On January 19, 2011 the Lightbulb was Re-visited by Mike Dunstan, who was the original reporter from the Livermore Herald who broke the news about the Bulb to the world!. In light of the Centennial Light's upcoming 110th birthday this summer, he has re-writin his original story with a forty year perspective. Thank you Mike! Jeanine's Visit

On January 10, 2011 the Lightbulb was visited by Jeanine Benca and her photographer, Jim Stevens, from the Valley Times. In light of the Centennial Light's upcoming 110th birthday this summer, she is doing a feature story on its history, as well as a story about the famous light bulbs of Shelby, Ohio. We had a great visit, and shared a lot of facts and fun stories. Look forward to the story in February, 2011!

Cosima's Visit

On March 9, 2010 the Lightbulb was filmed by Cosima Dannoritzer and her crew from Spain, for an important documentary on the history of lightbulbs. She interviewed a few of us from the committee, and filmed the bulb and a few other antique bulbs. It was a wonderful time of learning about Spain and sharing our interest in our amazing Bulb. Chris Leps

On September 15, 2009 it was like a reunion of all the original Light Bulb Committee. The reason was for a documentary about the Bulb, by film director Chris Leps. He spent a full day taking pictures and filming everyone, one at a time. A fun no pressure experience, and enjoyable day. Melissa Nicholson

On September 15, 2009 Melissa Nicholson visited the Bulb. She was back from her presentation of the bulb from a P.E.O. convention in So. Calif. where she had created a display of all things Bulb! Thank you Melissa for representing our little wonder to the women of the philanthropic educational organization. I hope to see you and the display at the 110th birthday party!

Karin's Visit

On April 14, 2007 the Lightbulb had a visit by Karin Steinberger, of the German newspaper Sueddeutsche Zeitung . She was here doing a story for her newspaper in Germany, and spent a week interviewing comittee members, firemen, and our town historian. Juliette's Visit

On April 14, 2007 the Lightbulb had a second visit by Juliette Goodrich, with her family and friends. (Juliette was our MC at the 100th birthday party). She was met by Fireman Dan Dague, who told the children the story of the lightbulb, and then gave them a tour of the fire trucks.

After contacting members of our committee, and researching the Bulb for the show, Myth Busters, Robyn accepted our invitation to join us and see the light first hand. Dropped by to visit while driving from LA to SF, on Nov. 19, 2006, and John was at the firestation and let us in to see the bulb. We took pics and video and we enjoyed the visit, thanks a lot!!

One of our committee members put on this mask to illustrate, if you visit and have a cell phone, you can call a friend and have the bulbcam take your pic online, and save the shot on you pc.
