An electric lamp bulb at the Livermore Fire Dept.
doesn't give much light, but it may be the longest lived in the world. The bulb, handblown and carrying no manufacturer's marking, was given to the department in 1901 and firemen say that with brief interruptions it has been burning continuously ever since. |
